Description
This is an early 18th-century detached cottage, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof and a stone stack situated to the left of the centre. The cottage is L-shaped with a baffle entry. It has two storeys and four windows. A planked door, featuring strap hinges within a chamfered surround and a flat stone hood, is located to the left of centre. To the right of the door are two two-light, cyma-mullioned casement windows, and one such window is located to the left. A string course runs at lintel level. The first floor has two two-light mullioned casement windows on the right, above the door is a bull's eye window, and a further two-light window lies to the left. The right return side features a two-light mullioned casement on the ground floor, a single-light window on the first floor, and attic casements. The left return side has single-light, cyma-moulded casement windows on both the ground and first floors. The rear wing has 20th-century leaded casements. A two-storey addition in a similar style has been added to the rear right. The interior was inaccessible at the time of survey in May 1987.
