Description
Rookery Farm is a semi-detached house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a pantiled roof with brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the entrance positioned at right angles to the road. It is two stories high and has two windows. The ground floor includes a reset early 18th-century two-panelled door and features 2-light and 3-light 19th-century recessed chamfered mullioned casements. There is an elliptical arch with a keystone leading to a recessed porch, and a 2-light flush mullioned casement to the right. The first floor has 19th-century mullioned casements. The left wing has a single-light casement and a 16-pane sash window on the gable end; this wing partly belongs to No 74. The road-facing side of the wing has 19th-century mullioned casements in the right-hand bay. The interior was not accessible during the survey in May 1987.
