Description
No 19, also known as Southern Gas, is a mid-19th century building located on the south side of New Canal. It is three storeys tall, constructed of red brick above a modern ground floor. The building features a gable end slate roof and a toothed brick eaves cornice. The upper floors have five windows with recessed sashes, which have later glazing and are tall on the first floor. Each window is adorned with stucco flat arches, incised voussoirs, and keystones. The ground floor has a modern shop front, with a driveway to the left. This building is part of a group that includes John Halle's Hall and Nos 17 & 19.
