Description

39 New Canal is a 2-storey building with an attic, featuring a front that dates back to the 18th century, attached to an older structure. The facade is plum colored with grey headers and includes a moulded band cornice and a parapet with stone coping. The gable end has an old tile roof and there are two dormers. On the first floor, there are four recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars, topped by gauged brick flat arches. The ground floor has a completely modern shop front and fascia. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 35 to 39.
