Description

The front gate to The Lodge is a simple structure made of wrought iron, located on the north side of Avebury High Street. It features a single leaf composed of alternating thick and thin square section rails, with the thinner rails looped to the thicker ones. The upper rail is also included in the design. The stanchions are square in section and have vase-shaped terminals, which are set into square monolithic gate piers that have weathered cappings.
