Description

Silbury House is a farmhouse that later became a manse and is now a house, dating from the 18th century. It was re-windowed in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared sarsen stone and features a slate roof. It has two storeys and attics, with four bays, and includes a single-storey pantiled rear wing attached to the left bay. The entrance door is located in the third bay, set within a limestone porch that has a flat roof. The windows are sixteen-pane sashes, each with ashlar surrounds and wedge lintels that include keystones. There are four gabled paired dormers on the front and two on the rear elevation. The house is topped with three brick chimney stacks.
