Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb made of limestone, located approximately 5 meters south of the chancel at the Church of St John the Baptist in Chirton. The tomb features a corniced table, with its base buried. It has raised shield panels situated between panelled corner and central pilasters. The inscription is partially illegible, mentioning John and others.
