Description

East Lodge of Old Park House is a lodge dating to the 18th century, situated at the entrance to the driveway from Hartmoor Road. It is built in a "cottage orne" style. The exterior is rough cast on brick with a thatched roof. The eaves on the west side sweep down to form a verandah supported by flint and rubble columns. There is a dormer window with a casement of two pointed leaded lights, and the thatch is of an "eyebrow" design over it. A shallow, bracketed bay window on the ground floor has a slightly bowed casement of three pointed leaded lights. The front door features four diamond-shaped panels within a plain surround, topped with a fretted gable hood. A small bay with three leaded lights is present on the east side, with a steeply hipped roof.
