Description
East of Nevitts Lodge is a lodge dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a rendered exterior and a hipped thatch roof with a stone ridge stack. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. The entrance side includes a rustic portico supported by tree-trunk posts, leading to a central doorway that is pointed-arched, with a plank door and overlight. The ground floor has three-light Gothick casement windows with rendered hood moulds, and there are three-light eyebrow dormers above with pointed-arched heads and timber intersecting tracery. There is also a single-storey lean-to extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
