Description
Terracotta Bridge is a bridge built around 1765 and remodeled around 1868. It is faced with brick and limestone ashlar, featuring terracotta details. The bridge has a low profile with three arches that rise gently to the center, and the parapets curve outward. The arches are elliptical, with the central arch being larger and featuring a terracotta keyblock. The balustraded parapets consist of four sections divided by panelled piers, all made of terracotta. The bridge is situated between Park and Warren Ponds. Castle Ashby park and gardens, where the bridge is located, are listed in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens for Northamptonshire at Grade I.
