Description

This is a detached cottage dating to around 1700. It is constructed of cob on a flint plinth, with a hipped thatched roof and a central brick axial stack. The original design featured a baffle-entry plan. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows on the front elevation. A 19th-century thatched porch shelters a four-panelled door, which is positioned to the left of the centre. There are two-light casement windows to the left, a two-light casement to the left, and a three-light and a two-light casement to the right, the latter positioned within what was originally a doorway. The first floor has three two-light casement windows. The left return side has two two-light casement windows. The rear elevation includes a two-light and a three-light casement window. The interior could not be accessed during a survey in March 1986.
