Description
Nos 83 to 85 Exeter Street, dating from around 1840 to 1850, are a group of three-storey buildings made of gault brick. They feature a low-pitched gable end slate roof with flat eaves that project from a moulded bed. Nos 83 and 85 each have two windows on the upper floors, while No 84 has one window. The upper floor windows of Nos 83 and 85 are recessed sashes with intact glazing bars. The first-floor window of No 84 is a canted bay with architrave surrounds for the sash lights, a flush panelled apron, and a moulded cornice. Each building has a door with six fielded panels and a rectangular marginal glazed fanlight. The doors are topped with a reeded doorhead, and the reveals and soffit are panelled. The architrave features roundel corner blocks and projecting moulded cornices. Nos 81 to 87 Exeter Street form a group with these buildings.
