Description

These are two buildings, number 90 and 91 Exeter Street, dating to approximately 1700, with later alterations. They are constructed of colour-washed brick, with a first-floor string course. The roof is gabled, finished with old tiles, and features a moulded eaves cornice and two hipped roof dormers. The first floor has four wide, single-light casement windows. On the ground floor, two large sash windows are centrally positioned, retaining their glazing bars, and are topped with flat brick arches and panelled shutters. The entrances are at either end of the front elevation; one has a six-panel door, and the other a four-panel door, both within architrave surrounds and protected by cornice hoods supported on brackets. Inside, the front first-floor room of number 90 contains fielded panelling and a corner fireplace. Numbers 90 to 92, along with St Osmund’s Church and School, and numbers 95 and 96, are considered a group.
