Description
Inglenook Cottage and Tumbleweed Cottage are a pair of early 19th-century cottages located on the north side of High Street in Erlestoke. They are constructed of painted brick and feature thatched roofs with end stacks. The cottages are one and a half storeys tall and exhibit a picturesque cottage style. Each has two semi-circular eyebrows above the first-floor round-arched windows, which are adorned with gauged brick heads. Each window contains two arched-headed casements set in ogee-arched frames. In the center, there is a resited carved plaque depicting Venus and Cupid, topped with a carved cornice. On the ground floor, there is a central casement, two pairs of casements to the right, and a door with a casement pair to the left, all featuring gauged brick heads. These cottages are part of the Erlestoke Park estate.
