Description
The Village Water House, located between numbers 52 and 56 on the north side of Erlestoke High Street, is a small-scale building dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a stone slate roof. The building has a gabled design and is situated over a spring, with a low stone Tudor arched door on its south side. It is believed to have been built to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Charlotte in 1786 and was intended to supply the village with piped water.
