Description

Little Sheldon is a house dating from the mid-17th century, which underwent significant alterations and remodelling in the early 20th century. The construction is of squared coursed limestone, featuring ashlar gable stacks and a stone slate roof. Originally comprising three rooms, the house now has a single-depth plan. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a four-window front. The building has coped gables and a large central dormer. A 20th-century door is positioned slightly left of centre, sheltered by a wide slated canopy. Restored stone mullioned windows of one, two, and four lights, with metal leaded casements, are topped by label moulds. The interior was remodelled around 1930.
