House. Mid C18 front range, extended at rear mid C19. Coursed, squared rubble, formerly rendered, with limestone ashlar dressings, right-hand external gable stack, and slate roof. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 3-window range. A symmetrical front has cornice and parapet and raised ashlar surround and pediment to a glazed door; left-hand ashlar projecting porch with blocking course, a round-arched doorway with batswing fanlight and 6-panel door; paired outer ground- and first-floor windows, single central one, all with 6/6-pane sashes, and plate-glass second-floor sashes, with concrete lintels. Rear elevation has a wide French window to C19 extension. Right-hand return has a timber verandah to the rear range. INTERIOR: details include an entrance passage from the porch, divided by round arches to a large rear stair hall with good mid C19 stone open-well stair with stick balusters, curtail and gallery, with a domed lantern; rear mid C19 rooms have black and white marble fireplaces, and 6-panel doors; C18 right-hand section has a rear open-well stair with uncut string and stick balusters; rear service wing divided by axial stack.
