Description

This is a house, originally built in the mid-15th century, and altered in the mid-19th century. It is now divided into separate dwellings. Constructed of limestone rubble, it was previously rendered and has limestone dressings, a ridge stack, and a stone slate roof. The building was originally a single-room plan with a rear extension. It has two storeys and an attic, and originally featured a single window. The front has a doorway with a six-panel door, where the bottom two panels are flush, and a mid-19th century raised surround. There are also paired plate-glass sash windows with raised surrounds. The interior has not been inspected, but it originally formed part of a larger building, formerly No.7, which has a flying freehold above a rear parallel range. It also included a mid-15th century arch-braced roof. The house was part of an open hall house, almost certainly originally timber-framed, and later encased in stone.
