Description
No. 4 The Green is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features ashlar gable stacks and a double-pile pantile roof, showcasing a late Georgian style. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high with a three-window range. The symmetrical front is accentuated by pilaster strips, a modillion cornice, and a parapet, along with a first-floor cill band and coped end gables. The round-arched entrance is framed by an architrave with key and impost blocks, and includes a plate-glass fanlight above a six-panel door. The ground floor has Venetian windows with six-over-six pane sashes, while the first floor features flat stone arches over six-over-six pane sashes, and the second floor has four-over-eight pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
