Description

Little Chantry is a pair of 18th-century houses located on Church Street in Westbury. The buildings are two storeys tall and feature similar facades, likely built around the same time. Each house has a stone panel above the door, with No 32 dated 1723, while the date for No 30 is obscured. The exterior is finished in stucco with incised lines on a projecting plinth, and No 30 has a pantile roof, while No 32 has a tented pantile roof. Both houses have brick gable end chimneys.

Each house has three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, along with a central door. No 30 features glazing bar sash windows that are four panes wide, with architrave surrounds. The ground floor door is an early 19th-century five-panel door set in a plain surround, topped with a flat moulded wooden hood supported by double scroll brackets. There is a two-storey gabled extension at the rear of No 30.

No 32 has outer three-light casement windows on the first floor, with the central light being a sash window, all fitted with louvred shutters and glazing bars. The central door is a three-panel design from the 19th century, adorned with a moulded stone hood on carved brackets, and there is a central two-light casement window above the door.
