Description
The church hall, located immediately southeast of the Baptist Church, was built around 1850 and is constructed of coursed stone rubble with an ashlar front on the east and north sides. It features a slate roof with stone coped gable ends and shaped kneelers.
The building has a rectangular plan and is a single storey. The east front has three bays and is topped with a pedimental gable that includes shaped kneelers. It has round arch windows, with two round-headed stone lights on the ground floor and a larger round arch window at the center of the first floor that contains three round-headed stone lights. The central doorway is adorned with a cornice supported by console brackets and features flush-panel double doors. On the north and south sides, as well as the west end, there are stone three-light round-headed windows. A small ashlar gabled porch is located at the west end of the north side.
Inside, the hall is open to a four-bay roof supported by exposed tie-beam queen-post trusses. There is dado panelling, and a gallery at the east end features a pilastered doorway below it at the center. A small kitchen was added later under the gallery.
