Description
No 2 High Street is an early 19th-century building with an ashlar front that matches the style of Nos 1 and 3 Market Place, which are separated by a narrow entrance to North Row. The building has three storeys and features a band over the first floor, a moulded cornice, and an astragal, along with a blocking course. There is one range of late glazed sash windows. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front with two entrances and curved plate glass. At the rear, there is a three-storey extension with three windows, constructed of rubble with brick quoins and dressings. Glance stones are present at the narrow opening to North Row.
