Description
Nos 6 and 8 High Street, along with No 2 North Row, are mid-18th century buildings that stand two storeys tall with an attic. They are finished in pebbledash and feature a first floor that is set over a heavily moulded cornice. The original parapet has been removed, except for the return to No 4. The tiled roof has three hipped dormers with tile-hung cheeks and moulded frames. On the first floor, there are three late glazed sash windows with flush moulded frames.
No 6 has an early 20th-century shop front on the right, which includes end pilasters supporting the fascia and a recessed central entrance. It features a round-headed doorway with a tripartite overlight and a half-glazed door. No 8 has an early to mid-20th-century shop front with a panelled entry on the left. The roof extends across to the left-hand gable of No 4. No 2 North Row is located at the rear of No 8 and is accessible only from North Row.
