Description
The coach house at Eastwell House, built in the mid-18th century, is constructed of red brick and features a Bridgwater tile roof topped with a hexagonal timber lantern that has a lead cap and iron finial. The building is two storeys high and has a U-shaped plan. Notable architectural details include dentilled brick eaves and a central section with a pedimental gable above a keyed oval plaque. This section also features two segmental-headed coach doors with keystones.
The left projecting wing has rusticated quoins and a hipped roof, with a boarded door on the end wall above a ground floor cambered-headed timber cross window. There is a garage door on the inner side, while the outer side displays a two-window range of blank panels infilled with black header bricks.
The right wing also has rusticated quoins and a steep pedimental gable with an oval plaque. It includes a pair of first-floor casement windows with a brick hoodmould that breaks into the pediment, and a ground floor cambered-headed triple casement window with a keystone. A six-panel door is located in a later porch to the right. The outer side wall features two upper panels infilled with black header bricks, one similar panel below, along with a door and two cross-windows.
