Description

Church Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed of rubble stone with stone tiled roofs. It has a rear chimney gable stack, a ridge stack, and a stack at the south end. The original central range features gabled projections and recessed mullion windows with ovolo moulding and hoodmoulds. These include a single 2-light window to the attic, two 3-light windows to the first floor, and ground-floor 12-pane sash windows, a pair of 12-pane sashes, and a 19th-century Gothic panelled door set within a stone-tiled porch. A right-hand extension has a 3-light ovolo-moulded window above a 6-light casement window. The left-hand extension incorporates casement windows within flush stone surrounds on both floors, along with a former door now replaced with a casement window, both protected by timber lintels. Two 20th-century rear wings have been added to the property.
