Description
Cutlers is a detached cottage dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of English bond brick and features a tiled roof with gable end brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows. The central gabled porch has a planked door, with a 2-light segmental-headed casement window on either side. On the first floor, there are 2-light segmental-headed casement windows to the left and right of a single-light casement window. The building has stepped brick eaves. Attached to both the right and left sides are single-storey extensions made of brick and flint, each with planked doors. At the rear, there are two wings with half-hipped tiled roofs, planked doors, and 2-light casements. The interior was not accessible during the survey in March 1986. This cottage is a well-preserved example of an agricultural workers' dwelling on the downs.
