Description
This milestone, located about 1 kilometre northeast of Swayne's Firs, dates from the 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a pitched top. The front of the pillar is inscribed with the distances: "TO / SARUM / 6 / BLANDFORD / 16". The road from Salisbury to Blandford was turnpiked in 1754.
