Description

This is an 18th-century manor house, extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with slate roofs. The front of the house has a hipped roof and two storeys, with a two-window design. It features two sets of 12-pane sash windows on each floor, set within timber architraves, and a rear stack. Flush quoins are visible at the south-east corner. The east end wall has two blocked, bead-moulded, two-light mullion windows. A long rear range has a half-hipped roof to the north and a ridge stack. A wing projects from the east side with its own east end stack. The east side of the house has a door with a timber hood supported by brackets, and a one-window range of 16-pane sash windows. The wing has a door on its south side, a 16-pane sash window to the right, and an 8-pane window with a cambered head above. The west side of the rear wing has a three-window range of casement windows, with cambered heads to the lower windows. At the north end, a stable and loft building is attached, with a pantiled outbuilding beyond.
