Description
The Caulfeild Monument, located in the churchyard approximately 20 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Stephen, is a Grade II listed monument from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from limestone and features two Carrara marble panels. The monument has a cuboid shape with multiple offset tops and chamfered corners, which are supported by pilaster buttresses topped with crocketed pinnacles. Each of the four faces has arched panes, with two of them displaying inscribed marble slabs dedicated to Edward Caulfeild, the rector, and his wife, who both died in 1841.
