Description

Longridge Cottage is a house, possibly dating from the 17th century, constructed of whitewashed rubble stone and covered by a thatched roof. The roof is half-hipped to the west and hipped to the east, with two small ridge stacks. The house is arranged over one and a half storeys, with a long front elevation. A slightly projected, blank section is positioned to the right, while the main range features two eyebrow dormers and a ground-floor door within a gabled brick porch on the left. Below the dormers are casement pairs, and the ground floor includes three cambered-head triple casement windows; the central window was formerly a doorway. Window heads are visible, and the porch is brick-gabled. The rear of the property has a lean-to addition to the left, a small casement pair under the eaves, and three eaves casement windows. Various casement windows are also present on the ground floor.
