Description
The brewery located to the rear of The Duke Inn was built around 1860. It features a ground floor made of squared rubble and an upper section constructed of whitened brick, topped with a slate eaves roof. The building consists of two sections; the taller north end has a canted shape and includes a pyramidal roof vent. The ground floor has a cambered-head door and window, while the upper level features a long opening under the eaves for a hoist, with the lower part fitted with louvres and loading doors above. To the right of the louvres, there is a small boarded opening. The lower south range has ground floor cambered-head doors on either side of a window and two louvred openings on the first floor.
