Description
The coach house and stable at the Old Vicarage was built in 1841 by G. Salway of Chippenham. It is constructed from squared rubble stone and features a stone slate roof, coped shouldered gables, and finials. The building is single storey with a loft and has flush quoins. There is a cambered-head coach entry with double doors on the right, and a stable on the left that has a 12-pane sash window on each side of a cambered-head door, along with a square loading door above for the loft. A roundel is located in the east gable end. This building is included for its group value. Plans from the Wiltshire Record Office (D/11/79) show it without the loading door, but otherwise similar.
