Description
The Coach House is a building that was originally three cottages, now combined into one house, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of banded flint and limestone, topped with a tiled roof featuring saddleback coped verges and brick stacks on the rear roof pitch. The building is two stories high and has five windows across the front. There is a 20th-century porch with reset strapwork carving on the jambs, leading to a six-panelled inner door. The front facade includes three moulded cross windows and blocked doorways on both the right and left sides. A continuous string course runs along the lintels. The first floor features five moulded cross windows. To the right, there is a single-storey extension added in the 20th century. The left side has a single recessed chamfered light on both the ground and first floors, with one blocked light in the attic. The rear of the building has 2-light mullioned casements on the ground and first floors, with one blocked light in the attic. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in March 1987.
