Description
This is a house located at 81 High Street in Malmesbury, dating from the early 19th century and refurbished in the late 20th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble, featuring a brick gable stack and a stone slate roof. The building has a single room plan with a right-angle rear wing and stands two stories tall with a one-window range. The right-hand doorway has a cambered head and a boarded door, while the ground-floor window was covered at the time of review. There is a small first-floor 3/3-pane sash window located beneath the eaves. The rear gabled extension includes a lateral stack. Inside, notable features consist of a late 20th-century dogleg stair situated in the rear left-hand corner of the original ground-floor room and stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
