Description

A pair of attached houses dating from the early to mid-19th century, with later 20th-century alterations. The houses are built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring blue header bricks used as decorative elements over arches and as a horizontal band. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The houses are two storeys high and have a total of three bays. Number 10 has a six-panel front door, with the top two panels glazed, and a tripartite window to its right, comprising a twelve-pane sash flanked by four-pane sashes. Above is a three-light, small-pane casement window. Number 12, which is two bays wide, has a rebuilt front facade and a late 20th-century wooden door centrally placed, with flanking wooden windows. A continuous band runs along the first floor, and the eaves are stepped and dentilled. Brick chimney stacks are situated at both ends; the stack at the left end was rebuilt in the late 20th century, while the stack at the right end is shared with the adjacent property at number 8.
