Description
This listing describes a group of three headstones located approximately 3 meters south of the west end of the nave at the Church of St Leonard. The headstones date from the late 17th century to the early 18th century and are made of limestone. The first headstone on the left features a round panel between columns with a shaped top and crossed bones, commemorating Robert, who died in 1728. The second headstone has a shaped top and script lettering dedicated to Eelnar Sturges, who died in 1717. The third headstone also has a shaped top and is inscribed to Alice Sturgis, who died in 1723.
