Description
The range of barns and stables located to the north of Barford Park Farmhouse dates from the late 17th century to the 18th century. Constructed from English bond brick with tiled roofs, the buildings are single-storey with lofts. The east front features inserted double hinged garage doors on the left, a planked door with a segmental head and keystone for the stable, and two cross ranges to the right that have open fronts. The stable includes a planked loft door. The left side has a 2-light casement window and a loft door above the garage. The rear wall displays some lozenge diaper-work, while the left cross range has a hipped roof, and the right range features a coped verge with kneelers. Inside the north cross range, there is a 4-bay roof supported by a tie-beam and raking struts to the principals, while the south range also has a 4-bay roof with a tie-beam and raking struts to the collar.
