Description

The gate piers and walls to Turleigh Manor are 18th-century structures made of ashlar with a rusticated finish. The pedestrian gate features piers topped with corniced caps and urns, which support spearhead iron gates that include dog bars and top rails that curve down to the center. On either side of the gate, there are curving sections of ashlar wall that have scrolled abutments against the gate piers. Approximately 7 meters to the left and 35 meters to the right, the wall is terminated by a segmental-arched doorway that has a beaded keystone, which is adjacent to No 246.
