Description

This is an early to mid-18th century house constructed of squared rubble stone with a slate roof, coped gables, and end stacks. The house is three storeys high, featuring a dripcourse above the first floor, and traces of a dripcourse at ground floor level. The lower second floor contains two two-light mullion windows. The first floor has three similar three-light windows to the left, and two glazed lozenges set between them. A three-light window is present on the ground floor left. The centre doorway has a flush moulded surround with a large hood supported by brackets and an eroded plaque above. The ground floor right features a single light, a remnant of a former four-light window, the remainder of which has been removed to accommodate a 20th-century neo-Georgian bowed shopfront. A lower range to the left of the main house incorporates 20th-century three-light windows on each floor. A 20th-century garage is located beyond.
