Description
Church Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the south side of Church Street in Durrington. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressings and is now partly rendered and whitewashed, topped with a thatched roof. It is a single-storey structure with an attic, featuring three bays and a baffle entry plan that originally included a central living room, an inner room, and a parlour to the right. The entrance door, located to the left of the central bay, is a six-panelled design with a thatched canopy above. The cottage has 20th-century paned windows and three flush casement dormers. A four-flue brick stack is present, and the roof is a single purlin type, lightly framed in the gables, with half hips at both ends. There is also a 20th-century flat-roofed service extension at the rear.
