Description

The village cross and war memorial in Durrington is a medieval structure made of Tisbury stone. It features a high three-course plinth set on a base step, which is missing on the southwest side. The base, made of oolitic limestone, is significantly worn and originally supported a medieval cross. This has since been replaced with a Great War memorial cross made of fine-grained limestone.
