Description
No. 2 Nethercote Hill is a 17th-century house that has been altered. It is built of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with stacks at the ridge and south end. The house has one and a half storeys.
The west front includes a pair of casement windows that break the eaves on the left, and a keyed oval light under the eaves in the center. On the ground floor, there is a pair of 19th-century casement windows and a triple casement window to the left of the door, which is set in a broad opening that has been partly infilled and features a stone slate hood. To the right, there is another 19th-century window. The north end gable is plastered, and there is a gabled addition at the north end.
The east front mirrors the west with a similar pair of eaves-breaking casement windows on the left and another keyed oval light. There are two ground floor stone mullion windows, one of which has had its mullion removed.
