Description
There is a pair of chest tombs located in the churchyard, 2 meters east of the north chapel of the Church of the Holy Cross. These monuments date from the 18th century and are made of limestone. The first tomb has a moulded table and inscribed side panels dedicated to Robert Chapperlin, who died in 1715, along with his family. The second tomb features a chamfered table and plain inscribed side panels, commemorating William Chapperlin, who died in 1779, and his wife Mary, who died in 1793.
