Description
Beanhill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with ashlar dressings and has a plain tile roof that is hipped on the cross wing. The farmhouse features a large brick axial ridge stack on the cross wing, as well as a ridge stack on the main range at the original east end and an east end stack.
The building is two storeys high and has an L-plan layout, characterized by a moulded dripcourse and 2-light cyma-moulded recessed mullion windows. The quoins are flush. The cross wing projects to the left and has a one-window range on the south front and east side, and a four-window range on the west side. The main range originally had a three-window layout with a door in the ground floor left bay, located at the angle to the cross wing, but an additional matching bay has been added to the right. The door is situated in a lean-to porch.
