Description
Nos 3 to 13 on Eastbourne Road is an early to mid-19th century terrace. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, featuring an ashlar front with a plinth and a band above the ground floor that ramps up to No 11. It has a narrow moulded eaves cornice and a Roman tile roof with a brick ridge chimney. Each house has one raking top dormer at the front and rear. The first floor has two late glazed sash windows per house, each with bracketed cills, while the ground floor windows have cornices. The doorways are round-headed, with architraves and keystones, and have stopped bead reveals. The doors are four-panel with plain fanlights, although Nos 5, 9, and 13 have modern doors. Nos 3 to 13 and Nos 21 and 23 form a group, with Nos 21 and 23 being of local interest.
