Description
This is a mid-19th century, double-fronted villa-type cottage located at the end of a block forming a terrace with numbers 4 to 10 Clark’s Place and 25 and 16 Herford Street. The building is two stories high and has three windows. It is constructed of ashlar, with a plinth and a band above the ground floor. The exterior features gutter brackets, coped verges, and shaped footstones. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with the central window on the first floor being segmental-headed. A plain, segmental-headed doorway leads to a two-panel door with a segmental light above. The roof is slate. Numbers 1 to 10 (consecutively) and number 16 form a group, with numbers 1 to 9 (consecutively) and number 16 considered of local interest.
