Description
This chest tomb, dating from the mid-19th century, is located about 2 metres north of the vestry of the Church of St. John in Berwick St. John. It is made of limestone and features a plinth with two moulded panels on the main sides, which are accented by fielded pilasters. The tomb is topped with a moulded flat top that has a fluted frieze. It commemorates John Lush, who died in 1837. At the time of the survey in February 1985, the monument was overgrown with ivy.
