Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St. John the Baptist, approximately 3 metres north of the John Pope monument. It dates from the 17th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a single semi-circular panel on either side, each with a roll-moulded raised margin and rosette decoration in the upper right and upper left corners. There are narrow rectangular panels on either side with raised margins, and sunken mushroom-shaped panels at both ends that have carved spandrels. The tomb is topped with a thick capping stone that has a moulded margin.
