Description
Glebe Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, with a rear range and alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a fishscale tiled roof with rendered brick stacks. The building has a two-span roof and is two storeys high with a four-window front. A 19th-century gabled porch with double doors is located to the right of the centre. On either side of the porch are 19th-century canted bays with casement windows, and to the left is a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned window. The first floor has two two-light and two three-light mullioned windows, along with two hipped dormers in the roof that contain two-light casements.
The right side of the building has French windows and a four-light casement, with two three-light casements on the first floor, and a bull's eye window in the attic of the front range. The left side features French windows to the right and a half-glazed door with a two-light casement to the left, while the first floor has a three-light and a two-light casement. The building has coped verges. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey in March 1985. Glebe Farmhouse was formerly the rectory to the Church of St. Martin.
