Description

Mayfield is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. The facade is made of finely gauged bricks and includes a rendered plat band. A central five-panelled door is topped by a three-light transom light, with cut brackets supporting a rounded flat hood. On either side of the door are bow windows with twelve-pane sashes, and the first floor also has twelve-pane sashes with gauged brick lintels above. The eaves are dentilled, and there are gable stacks.
